Over the last 30 years, architect and landscape architect Andrea Filippone has curated a farm & garden in the rural landscape of New Jersey, that feels straight out of the French country side. Jardin de Buis is comprised of exquisite formal gardens, beautiful buildings, and an extensive antique collection with pieces from around the world. A longtime lover of Boxwood, and president of the American Boxwood Society, Filippone has made her garden a place to research, grow, and cultivate healthy boxwood. She has developed an organic system to nurture the property using the best management practices including biological infusions, better known as compost tea. Her company F2 Environmental Design uses soil biology to find the root causes of a landscape’s problems to create a solution that is both environmentally safe and effective. Jardin de Buis is a perfect collaboration of classic, beautiful design, and modern, scientific practices.
